Yanping Wang is responsible for developing and executing overall policy strategy, leading LinkedIn Economic Graph projects in China, and overseeing platform operational compliance management, as well as customer service management. Throughout his leadership, the China Economic Graph team has published a number of reports focused on digital transformation, digital skills, networks, and talent development. Yanping is also a council member of China’s Society for Research on International Exchange and Personnel Development.

Before joining LinkedIn, Yanping was the vice president of Dangdang.com and public affairs director at Baidu.com. While at Baidu, Yanping also served as the deputy secretary-general of the Chamber of Commerce of Chinese Cultural Industry for the Private Sector and led the secretariat team for the chamber. Prior to entering the private sector, Yanping was a public servant with the Beijing municipal government. Among other things, he served as the international liaison director, comprehensive management deputy director for the Beijing Economic Technological Development Area (BDA).

Yanping received his bachelor’s degree in law (majoring in diplomacy) from the China Foreign Affairs University and his master’s degree in literature (majoring in foreign language and applied linguistics) from the University of International Business and Economics.
