Unlocking New Insights & Potential From Our Technology Workforce

Through a partnership with LinkedIn, CivicAction assessed how online platforms can offer real-time information on in-demand skills and uncovered new insights about the technology skills for which employers are hiring. The collaboration found that Toronto was a city rich with technology skills. Armed with the knowledge that 11 percent of the area’s 1.9 million LinkedIn possessed in-demand skills, CivicAction and its partners have begun increasing the exposure of job seekers to technology career pathways, adapting training opportunities, and providing greater access to space and hardware.
