During the last quarter, and thanks to our partners, LinkedIn's Data for Impact program informed OECD policy dialogues on AI, the World Bank’s work on green skills, and data training programs for public sector actors. Check out other Data for Impact summer highlights below, find out what lies ahead, and see some of the latest reports and insights from LinkedIn's Economic Graph team.
Summer 2024 highlights
Our global partners seek to prepare the world’s workforce and economy for AI, and our insights can help. This past quarter, our data on AI talent trends and skills informed the OECD’s 2024 Digital Economy Outlook, as well as country-specific planning efforts for Germany and Egypt. We look forward to further advancing this work through our participation in OECD.AI’s Network of Experts.
The advent of AI is part of an ongoing data-driven digital transition, which LinkedIn’s Data for Impact program supports not only by sharing data, but also by modeling the role that private sector actors can play in realizing an equitable digital future.
To that end, we collaborated with the Industry Data for Society Partnership to produce a podcast focused on data sharing best practices. Check out the episode featuring LinkedIn’s Dr. Rosie Hood here!
While global leaders navigate the AI and digital transitions, they must also continue their broader efforts to alleviate poverty and expand economic opportunity for all. This past quarter, our data identified critical digital skills for women entrepreneurs to shape trainings for Women in Digital Business provided by the International Labor Organization (ILO). Our data also informed World Bank investment strategy for Argentina and Central America, specifically aimed at improving human capital and equitable employment outcomes in those geographies. See a deep dive into the analytical and data sharing process for the Argentinian strategy here.
Looking ahead
This fall, we look forward to supporting our partners with data that can help the world’s workers access opportunity, particularly during the ongoing green and digital transitions. We aim to contribute to annual policy conversations and reports with the International Energy Agency and the ILO, and build on previous engagements with the Latin American AI Index and the European Central Bank.
