Key Insights

  1. Education leads industry growth in Bengaluru in H1 2018. The number of net transitions into industries is well dispersed (17 out of 20 sectors), reflecting its stature as an employment central in India.
  2. Software Engineers was the most posted occupation in H1 2018. Tech roles such as Software Engineer, Application Developer and Data Scientist dominated the top 10 ranking list.
  3. Vibrant talent exchange observed between Bengaluru and many cities including Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Gurugram. This reflects the migration flows between India’s larger cities. In H1 2018, Bengaluru sourced the highest proportions of professional migrations from Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai. In further indication of this exchange momentum, highest proportion of professionals from Bengaluru moved to these very cities.
